The Set Up:In this task I was asked to respond to the work of Bill Jacobson by firstly using aperture to un-focus my models face and chest up. I really liked the message behind his images but i think the fact my models skin colour is in it takes away from the fact she is in a way fading away. If i was to do this again i would get more close up images of my model and be more out of focus with more angles and interesting composition. However in the second shoot where we used colour and shadow and baking paper I preferred how my images came out because they were more abstract and I like how the viewer cant tell how they were created from first glance. I also like the new layer and excitement the colour brings to the image and how it highlights the models face and features more clearly then in the aperture unfocused ones. I really like how the hands and arms came out and enjoy how more bold they are and clear and contrast the light and softness of the face.
